Do you have some questions? Here are the answers to a few frequently asked questions I get regarding the luxury portrait session at Suvi Tory Portraits.
Where are you located?
My beautiful studio is located in downtown Oconomowoc. The address is 31 S Main Street, Oconomowoc 53066.
It’s a great place to create memorable photos because of the cozy setting. But it has plenty of space so my clients won’t feel crowded during their session. It has two dressing rooms and a lounge area to have some snacks and beverages.
How far in advance should I book my portrait shoot?
I recommend booking at least 4 to 5 weeks prior. That gives us enough time to set up your beauty appointment, talk about the best location for your session, and consider your wardrobe selection.
I don’t look like a model. I have cellulite and issues with some other parts of my body. I am also not photogenic. How can I be confident that I’ll look beautiful in my images?
If I received a dollar each time that I’ve been asked this question, I wouldn’t have to work anymore! You don’t have to be or look like a model for beautiful images. Even supermodels have things they hate about their appearance.
During our consultation, we’ll discuss things like which parts of your body you love and which parts you hate. We’ll select wardrobe pieces and outfits that compliment your body and hide the imperfections you insist you have.
My superpower is in showing you poses that will make you look beautiful. My post-processing will add final touches on the images you love. I’ll make you look natural but polished – getting rid of those things that generally aren’t there, like blemishes.
|What is your style of photography?|
I would describe my style as contemporary portraiture. I love simplicity and cohesiveness in my images. Connection is the most important element — I want to capture your beauty, confidence, and soul.
I’m obsessed with black and white images because they give such a timeless appeal. However, I also edit in color.
How much time should I plan on spending at the studio?
Sessions usually last 3 hours, including hair and make-up. When you arrive at your appointment, we’ll make the final selection on your outfits and have some beverages or champagne. You’ll undergo your transformation with our hair and make-up professional, which takes about an hour. The remainder of the time, about two hours, will be spent on your photoshoot that includes three or four outfit changes. That may seem like a long time, but you’ll be surprised at how quickly it goes when you’re laughing and having fun.
Do you offer hair and make-up services?
I sure do! Even natural beauty can use a little help sometimes. I work with a professional hair and make-up artist who will make you look gorgeous and camera-ready. This service is included with the session fee – you won’t pay a dime extra for it. Make sure you book a date night after your portrait session because you will look and feel amazing!
How do I dress for a portrait session?
You don’t want to look like someone else during your photo sessions. We’re trying to capture your essence – not disguise it! For that reason, I recommend choosing outfits that reflect your personality and style. The more effort you put into your wardrobe selection, the better your photo shoot will be.
I will help you design an outfit collection that compliments you and lets your personality shine. I also have a studio wardrobe and props available for additional options.
Are sessions indoors or outdoors?
We can shoot your pictures anywhere you want! That’s up to you. I offer portrait sessions in my studio, on location, or outdoors.
Prior to your session, we’ll talk about the best option for your portrait shoot so you’ll know all your options and what might work best in your case.
When will I see my images?
There’s nothing worse than being so excited about your pictures and not knowing when you’ll see the results of your session. That’s why I tell you from the start when you’ll get your pictures.
Ten days after your session, I’ll invite you to a private reveal celebration session where you’ll get to see all those gorgeous images. The reveal party is your chance to select your favorite images and decide which ones you want to buy.
There’s no pressure – you’ll only buy the ones you want.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely. I’m happy to find a plan that works for you. I believe that everybody – no matter their income – should have professional shots that make them feel empowered.
When I set up payment plans, the first payment is due at the reveal celebration and ordering appointment. You’ll receive your images and digital files once the complete payment has been received. A separate session fee/booking fee is due before your photo session.
