“When I was about eight years old, my mom hosted a Mary Kay party. The demo lady was stunning—so positive and full of life. She probably had no idea, but she left a lasting impression on me. From that moment, I became more aware of how I presented myself to the world,” Laura shared.

Laura turned 50 in 2021, and every experience has shaped the life she leads today. She’s never been married, but she has built deep, lasting relationships. Her personal and professional life has been anything but ordinary—full of variety, growth, and purpose.
“Life has led me down so many paths, and each one has fueled my independence and drive. I never stop reaching for new goals or chasing my dreams,” she shared. “I’ve worn many hats—mother, grandma, caregiver during hospice for my loved ones, executive director for two Chamber of Commerce organizations, Reiki master, college class vice president, realtor, bar owner, cake decorator, and so much more.”
Looking back, Laura sees her life as full and well-rounded, shaped by the choices she’s made and the people she’s touched. Her journey is just one of many inspiring stories from women proving that life is meant to be lived boldly.
For Laura, feeling beautiful often depends on the time of year. She experiences seasonal depression, which can make certain months more challenging.
“This time of year stirs deep emotions in me,” she shared. “Sunshine and warmth energize me. I freely share my joy and feel beautiful when happy people surround me.”

The Mary Kay company not only taught Laura a key beauty lesson but also shaped her confidence.
“I became a Mary Kay consultant in my early 20s, and their training made me realize I could do anything. Every experience in my life has given me the strength to succeed,” she said.
Her favorite non-physical trait? The energy of her soul, which naturally draws people in. After experiencing three professional photoshoots, she understands their powerful impact.
“A photoshoot lifts your self-esteem and lets you see yourself the way others do,” she shared.
