Ideally, senior sessions are booked the summer before or early fall of your senior year. This gives you the most flexibility with scheduling, locations, weather, and yearbook deadlines.
I always encourage seniors to build a wardrobe selection that reflects different sides of their personality and interests. Sports, music, art, hobbies, pets, fashion, or activities you love can all become part of your session and help tell your story.

Absolutely — and honestly, I highly encourage it. Props, sports equipment, instruments, cars, pets, or anything meaningful to you help create images that feel personal and authentic. Some of the best portraits happen when you’re interacting with something you genuinely love because it brings out natural expression, movement, and personality.
Yes — you’re welcome to bring a friend along to your session. I also often have an assistant on set helping with details like hair, clothing, styling, and props while I focus on photographing you. The goal is to keep the experience relaxed, fun, and flowing smoothly throughout the shoot.
You are definitely not alone. Most seniors tell me this before their session. My role as your photographer is to create a comfortable, fun, and relaxed environment for you to step into. Your job is simply to enjoy the experience while I guide you through everything along the way. We also prepare for your session beforehand so you know what to expect, including styling, wardrobe, props, beauty preparation, hair and makeup, and the overall vision for your session. This helps you walk into your photoshoot feeling much more confident and at ease. And honestly, there is usually plenty of laughter too, which I absolutely love.
